This dynamic pair has become a local sensation, turning heads and stealing hearts—especially when they’re walking through Garden of the Gods, one of their favorite places to stroll.

Billie-Sue’s lifelong dream of owning an emu came true when she discovered that male emus are the ultimate dads—they incubate the eggs and raise the chicks! Enter Dennis: a seven-month-old bundle of feathers with a goofy grin and a heart full of hugs. Billie-Sue describes him as “super cuddly,” especially in the mornings when he’s at peak silliness. And yes, he loves his hugs.
